Day 1 : Malang/Surabaya – Mount Bromo Area - Drive To Ijen

Your adventure begins at midnight with a warm welcome from our crew, followed by a private pickup service from your accommodation in either Malang or Surabaya. Traveling by private vehicle ensures a comfortable and flexible experience, avoiding crowds and allowing you to travel at your own pace. You’ll journey approximately 2.5 hours to Cemoro Lawang Village, the closest village to Mount Bromo. Upon arrival around 2:30 AM, you’ll transfer to a private Jeep for a scenic 45-minute drive to the Sunrise Viewpoint at Kingkong Hill or Penanjakan Hill. This early start offers the advantage of arriving before the crowds, ensuring a more peaceful and exclusive experience. At 3:30 AM, relax at a local warung with a warm cup of coffee and local snacks while waiting for the sky to brighten. By 4:30 AM, enjoy the stunning sunrise and panoramic views over the Bromo-Tengger-Semeru National Park—one of Indonesia’s most iconic landscapes.

At 6:00 AM, continue your journey across the dramatic Sea of Sand, passing Widodaren Hill, a perfect backdrop for scenic photos. At around 7:00 AM, you’ll begin an easy 45-minute hike to the crater rim of Mount Bromo, where a staircase leads to a close-up view of the active volcano’s steaming mouth—a rare and exhilarating experience. By 8:30 AM, you’ll return to your Jeep and head back to Cemoro Lawang’s parking area. A breakfast box will be provided in the van at 9:00 AM as you continue your journey toward the Ijen area, with a scenic 5 to 7-hour drive through East Java. Around 2:00 PM, you’ll stop for lunch at a local restaurant before arriving at your hotel near Mount Ijen by 5:00 PM. The rest of the evening is yours to relax and prepare for another unforgettable day. Day 2 : Mount ijen – Blue fire – Drop to Bali

On Day 2, your day starts early once again, with a 12:30 AM departure to Paltuding, the starting point for the Ijen trek. (If you’re staying in Bondowoso City, pickup will be at midnight due to the longer drive.) At 1:30 AM, enjoy another coffee break and a briefing with your local guide before starting your 1.5 to 2-hour hike to the crater rim. Your private guide ensures safety, local insight, and the flexibility to move at your own pace. Upon reaching the rim, and if conditions allow, you’ll descend into the crater to witness the rare Blue Fire phenomenon—one of only a few places in the world where this can be seen. At 6:30 AM, you’ll begin the return hike to the parking area, where your private vehicle awaits.
